Velcome to Westtech

The municipality of Sørvágur today comprises the town of Sørvágur and the surrounding villages of Bøur, Gásadalur and Mykines with 1.100 inhabitants in all. The three originally independent councils merged into one on 1st January 2005 at a formal signing ceremony in very romantic surroundings on the islet of Tindhólmur. Sørvágur gained 100 inhabitants and a considerable land area through this amalgamation and gained custody of some of the nature pearls in Faroe, Tindhólmur and Mykines.
If you come to Faroe by plane and fly over Mykines and into Sørvágsfjørður (-fiord) on a clear and cloudless day, you can view the whole municipality stretched out in its grandeux, and you can hardly get a more beautiful arrival and warm welcome to the Faroe Islands. And it is in this municipality of Sørvágur that Westech sP/F has its office. The founders of Westtech are architect Jákup á Stongum and engineer Poul Arni Jacobsen. Veiw some of our projects here
